At the age of 23, Sam Scribner was an energetic, hard-working, young man. Following in his father’s footsteps, Sam had joined the Navy right out of school, and worked as an aeronautical mechanic.
He loved the outdoors, and was passionate about surfing. On April 17, 2016, Sam suffered a catastrophic spinal cord injury from a fall, resulting in paralysis below the sternum.
With unwavering optimism, Sam is
determined to do everything in his power to live his life to the fullest. His condition requires expensive medical equipment; intensive, long-term rehabilitation; and accommodations for transportation and daily living.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to go toward the purchase and outfitting of a wheelchair-accessible van, which is vital to Sam’s efforts to regain his independence.
