The Scotts

David and Terry Scott were both raised in Orlando, and have been lifelong residents. David and Terry met shortly after graduating from College. David had stayed home and attended the University of Central Florida graduating with his business degree, while Terry attended The University of Alabama and majored in Finance. They have been married 6 years, and currently reside in Longwood with their two sons, Daniel and Jackson.

As a child David began attending mission trips organized through his churches youth program.   “The one that stands out the most is Mountain Top which was an outreach program in Tennessee. Its purpose was to donate resources and physical labor to families that were in rural areas and did not have the ability to supply themselves with everyday necessities. It was often times very hard work, but I am so thankful to my parents for encouraging me to do it. It allowed me at a young age to see things in life differently and gave me a true understanding of how blessed my life really was!”

Terry also resides on the Board of Directors for the Andrew P. Caneza Family Foundation. It is her hands on approach with the foundation that allows her to help so many other families in the Central Florida Area.

Both David and Terry are extremely excited about the beginning of Our Backyard foundation and what it will bring to the community. “We have lived here are whole lives and this community has been very good to us. We just want to be a part of something that is contributing back!”
