Whether it hits close to home, or worlds away, tragedy has the ability to shake us to our very core, and then bring entire communities together. It unites us, pushes us to reach out, and reminds us to be grateful. As Floridians, we are all too familiar with natural disasters, and the havoc they can wreak! community, have also witnessed the outpouring of goodwill from caring and compassionate people all over the world - strangers, who stepped in to help during our time of need.
The devastation and destruction in the wake of Hurricane Sandy is heartbreaking, and reminds us to stop and re-examine our priorities.
